“Boy” Font Design
Boy was a university project to create a usable font design based on the life and work of a film director, in this case, Taika Waititi and his film “Boy”. The font was then applied to posters and motion to advertise the film.
To create the font, I started by photographing sticks I had found in a local park. I then decided to individually illustrate them as the images didn’t capture the texture I was looking for. After this, the drawings were scanned and edited into the complete font.
